BETA (Beings of the Extra Terrestrial origin which is Adversary of human race) is an unknown extraterrestrial life found on Mars in 1958.
Since the first direct contact on the lunar surface in 1967,
their aim for extermination of human race has never changed.
Ever since the beginning of their invasion to Earth, mankind without any effective countermeasure has been forced to retreat, and by 2001, the majority of the Eurasian Continent is under the control of BETA.
The human defense line surrounding the continent is barely able to hold back the massive invasion at the cost of many lives.
However, despite this desperate crisis, every nation still looks after their interest before cooperation.
The Prominence Project, a worldwide initiative to develop advanced Tactical Surface Fighters upon technical cooperation, was proposed by UN to coordinate this situation.
The XFJ Project, a joint development program between the Imperial Japan and the United States which aims for updating existing TSF, is a part of the Prominence Project.
